It’s Time to Piss Off the Devil!
Gentlemen, I think this week is as good a week as any to become a threat to the devil and his minions. It was very hard for me to even grasp that there is a spiritual battle in progress until my mid 30’s. I had faith at age 18 to around 33 that was more of a “Cruise Control” kind of faith. Faith on cruise control in my life was going with the flow and keeping the speed of culture. The as believers we need to play nicely with others in the sandbox kind of thing. I would often scoff or completely ignore those who were truly aware of the battle. And now here I am asking The Fishermen’s Club to become an enemy of evil; what a 180 degree turn!
How do you become a threat? Very simple.
Pray for wisdom.
Pray that God makes it clear each day how you are to build the Kingdom. Then obey. Which might make you uncomfortable.
Are you a soldier or not? We are all called to fight off the devil and his schemes. There are captives out there that need to be set free. God needs soldiers to rescue them behind enemy lines. I heard someone once say that God needs an army not an audience. You aren’t built to watch, my brothers.
Let me know what you do this week to tick off the enemy!
Expect some blowback when you decide to fight!
When you soldier up expect to garner some attention from evil in the spiritual realm. You might get attacked as evil loves you being that set-to-cruise audience member.
Just remember:
13 For he has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son he loves, (Colossians 1:13 NIV)
In other words…the battle has been won and you can fight with confidence!
“No weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue which rises against you in judgment you shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is from me,” says the Lord. (Isaiah 54:17)
We have been given the authority to do battle!
“For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.” (Ephesians 6:12)
God will fight with you!
“Though I walk in the midst of trouble, You will revive me; You will stretch out Your hand against the wrath of my enemies, and Your right hand will save me. The Lord will perfect that which concerns me …” (Psalm 138:7)
Be a threat!
