It’s o-fish-ally Friday and I like to stock the pond with different kinds of topics. Some of the topics might school you and increase your knowledge. Some will put a smile on your face to start off a reel-y good weekend. And others you may find too fishy to the taste, so feel free to catch & release.
Look Out for Your Neighbors!
It is going to be rough for many people in the next coming months. It is bad and getting worse. Inflation is at a 40 year high and the Dow just dropped 700 points; and it is bouncing on down. I don’t need to tell you about the gas prices. But did you know about the food processing plants mysteriously getting destroyed?
I am encouraging The Fishermen’s Club to be proactive as we head into this downturn. Lookout for those in need as they will be people that usually don’t fall into that category. Don’t jump into the “I’ve got mine” or “Sucks to be you” camps. Don’t live in fear, but live knowing you have the power of God taking care of you through these trials.
Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” Joshua 1:9 ESV
Smooth as Tennessee Whiskey
A lot of you are buying whiskey or at least whiskey stock! One of the few rising stocks. (see above about your neighbors as consumption is up folks!).
I Bet you Don’t Even Know What a Woman is?
I don’t have cable. I have Amazon Prime that I rarely watch and we got rid of the other streaming services. My pro sports addiction has been completely cured over the last 2 years due to insane propaganda. My media consumption is probably well under the national average and yet I am inundated with this constant transgender agenda. It is amazing how much of it is being pushed throughout all parts of our society. My son last year had 3 days on transgenderism for his personal finance class in high school! And this was in the top high school in Oregon!
This is just a topic that I just want to ignore, but like a minor pipe leak in your house it keeps getting worse and the cost at the end is going to be much bigger than if we just fixed it to begin with. Check out Matt Walsh’s new documentary if you think this is just an isolated one or two events.
Keep the hits coming!
See Your Neighbor
33 But a Samaritan, as he traveled, came where the man was; and when he saw him, he took pity on him. 34 He went to him and bandaged his wounds, pouring on oil and wine. Then he put the man on his own donkey, brought him to an inn and took care of him. 35 The next day he took out two denarii[a] and gave them to the innkeeper. ‘Look after him,’ he said, ‘and when I return, I will reimburse you for any extra expense you may have.’ Luke 10:33-36 NIV
Have a blessed weekend!
And be a blessing!

Mari and I were just discussing some of the same things during our devotional time together... giving thanks that God is STILL on the thrown...He reminds us to rest in His Grace lest we get sucked into the enemy's trap of anger, frustration, and looking for someone to blame... seeing our neighbors as adversaries and justifying the temptation to dismiss their needs...
Thanks for reminding us Who is on the throne and Whose we are🤔👍
